I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. (or DPhil - in my final year) in Bioprocess Engineering where I use fundamental knowledge of biochemical pathways to design and optimize a process that'll prove algae-b... ased Omega-3 lipid production a feasible option to respond to ever-increasing consumer demand for nutritious fatty acids. I have been conducting this type of research for the last seven years since my Master's research. I have also tutored (throughout my university years - 10 years) both 1-year and 2-year biochemistry related courses to undergraduate students who have progressed to the senior year of their degrees. Hi there! I'm Mpho. I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and am now attending the University of Cape Town, pursuing a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering. Outside of tutoring, I always enjo... y trying out food dishes and watching a game of soccer. My favorite dishes usually are seafood dishes (except for Sushi though). I am a huge supporter of Real Madrid F.C. in the Spanish La Liga. I am quite passionate about contributing to the educational sector because it has the ability to produce the next generation of change-makers and leaders in our world.
