As a young girl, I always had a passion for helping others solve their problems. In high school, I was always the friend that people would confide in and ask for advice. During my senior year of high ... school, my mentor told me about the field of Psychology and I was excited. Fast-forward, I just graduated in December of 2022 with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. While I am happy to be done with school, I still miss talking about all things psychology! I have tutored off and on during my college career and was a virtual teaching assistant at my college during my senior year. I had a blast! I enjoy helping students apply textbook concepts to the real world. In my tutoring sessions, I always like to start off by asking what the students know about the current lesson and then I help to strengthen their current foundation on the topic. Hi my name is Olivia and I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I really enjoyed learning about how to use empathy in order to understand people and their behaviors. I have a... lways loved working with others and helping them to achieve greatness. I have been tutoring students off and on since my junior year of high school. I recently tutored virtually for the first time last year and I loved it! It gave me a chance to meet with more students without the hassle of driving from place to place. My upbeat personality helped students feel human connection, even from the other side of the screen. 🙂 My favorite hobbies are drawing, listening to music and playing volleyball. I like to stay active and hang out with my loved ones. My approach for tutoring is simple. I like to find out what the student knows and then I move on from there. I like to empower students during my lessons by showing them how capable they are of learning new material that may seem like a foreign language.
