My first teaching job was to teach children from other countries to speak and read English. The fundamentals of phonics were their quick route to proficiency. I currently live in Florida but I am from Texas. I lived on the Flathead Reservation for many years learning the ancient ways of my ancestors. While there, I added to my experience of teaching phonics... by teaching Pre-school for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. My favorite things are; my 3 sons, my dog, country life, and teaching. My hobby is writing screenplays. I just won 'Best Screenplay' at the L.A. Women's Independent Film Festival! What I love about virtual tutoring is that it is one-on-one, or small group with intensive learning with no distractions.
