I am a passionate lover of history who is about to graduate with my bachelor's degree in U. S. history. I will be receiving my degree in June 2024 from American Military University (AMU), with a 3.9 G... PA and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and an honor roll student. I am also a former Marine Scout/Sniper and Primary Marksman Instructor (PMI) whose duties included teaching, training, and preparing young Marines to be experts in reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, and advanced marksmanship. I am also a former church-planting pastor with over twenty years of experience in the field, placing an emphasis on discipleship and leadership development. Hi I'm John. I live in Southern California, and have had a life-long passion for history, politics, and social issues. I'm currently due to graduate with a bachelors degree in history with aspirations... of either teaching online or in person. From there I plan on pursuing a masters degree while honing my skills as a tutor. Though I don't have any formal teaching experience, I've had past positions that required me to teach. For example, my time in the military as well as being a pastor, required extensive training, teaching, and giving presentations. My personal teaching philosophy is Socratic, with an emphasis on developing critical thinking skills.
