Hello prospective students! I am a drummer who specializes in playing jazz music, but I teach many styles of drumming, including but not limited to: straight-ahead swing, modern jazz, rock, hip hop, R... nB, funk, and different Latinamerican styles. I also compose and produce music. In addition to drumming, I teach music theory and ear training, and beginner/intermediate piano, especially as tools to use when learning to work as a composer or songwriter. I love seeing my students progress and develop their skillsets and I strive to provide educational material that is challenging enough to be engaging but not so challenging that it becomes discouraging.
