I have had over 6 years of writing and editing experience, at both the high scho... ol and collegiate levels. As a philosophy major with a minor in sociology, I spend much of my time writing analytical and argumentative essays. I enjoy creative writing, poetry writing, and journaling in my free time. One thing that sets me apart from other tutors is my ability to help students with their writing in multiple academic areas. I take pride in taking an interdisciplinary approach to learning. I have worked as a Virginia Junior Academy of Science mentor where I edited science fair papers and presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels. I aided over 50 students in communicating complex topics to the general public. I was the Opinion and Features Editor and Social Media Director for the award-winning, Crossed Sabres newspaper for all four years of high school. I have written and edited over 200 articles for publication. As a current Volunteer Notetaker for Virginia Tech's Services for Students with Disabilities office, I regularly write up detailed lecture summaries in order to aid my peers in understanding class material.
