I have been tutoring people through a non-profit course for 35 years, but more recently, in 2016, I acquired TESOL/TEFL certification. Then, in 2022, I completed a bachelors degree in language educati... on. I have been teaching e English as a second language by video-conferencing through a school based in China. We use various programs of study, such as grammar, spelling, syntax, reading, writing, communication, public speaking, and history, to help students to reach higher levels of comprehension and fluency. My students have been aged five to adulthood. I attend continuing-education classes and seminars periodically to be up to date with improving methods of individualized teaching, and I appreciate student or parent feedback to adjust their program to their needs. My husband and I learn differently, but we are both progressing well. We know it's the same for our students and how much patience and encouragement are required. It isn't all work and no play.
