Hi, I'm Eve! I'm currently based in Texas and am a recent graduate of Concordia University Texas. I currently tutor for History and English, especially for academic writing and test prep. As a histori... an, I believe that the study of history is important to every person’s educational journey, even if they don’t understand how. It is my desire to create a environment where young adults can learn about history, its importance, and its application in their daily lives without judgment. In sessions, I focus on narrative teaching, critical reasoning, and text analysis. I have experience as an in-class teaching assistant and as a private tutor (both for a company and freelance), so I have worked with a wide variety of students. I believe that the best way to help students is through focused, individualized learning, giving them the opportunity to practice new skills they are learning in class. Working with middle and high school students as a tutor has shown the importance of working with student’s learning struggles, rather than trying to fight against them. Many of my current students are neurodivergent and struggle with grasping the material when lectured to, requiring me to work with them to discover what learning methods work best for them. Thus, my goals as an instructor are to be flexible in regards to student’s needs. Outside of academics, I have lots of creative passions. Prior to my time at Concordia, I attained an Associate's Degree in Character Animation.
