Rebecca Shaw-Gove has been teaching for over 22 years. She graduated from Broo... klyn College, CUNY with a BS in Dance, Honors in Russian Language and Literature, Summa Cum Laude and holds a certification in Vocational Arts/Dance for grades K-12. Before tutoring, Rebecca worked as a dance teacher and substitute teacher in the NJ public schools. She has worked in the public schools in Glen Rock, Clifton and Ridgewood NJ. In addition to now working with Lessonpal, Rebecca has been tutoring for 5 years, teaching SAT and ACT verbal exam prep, and reading and math for grades K-12. She has taught for the Huntington Learning Center, and is presently working as a tutor online for Tutor Me Education, and for Intervene K-12, LLC a/k/a Teach and Tutor. She tutors students in both individual and group settings. Ms. Shaw-Gove believes that all students can learn when given the right tools and accepts the challenges of teaching with a positive attitude, knowledge, experience, and compassion.
