I began experimenting with animation in High School, where I created my first stop motion film using recycled materials, clay, and a 10$ animation program. I believe you don't need the most expensive ... programs and materials to bring your ideas to life. It was then that I decided to pursue a career in animation. I earned a BFA in Animation and Motion Media from Lesley University, where I gained experience to be able to create an animation from scratch to a completed product. Some of the things I have mastered are: storyboarding, audio design, video editing, digital animation, stop motion animation, character animation, color theory, story development, character design, editing and special effects, and more. Hello! I'm Andrea. I was born and raised in Mexico, and I've been living in the Boston greater area for almost 10 years. I'm fluent in both English and Spanish. I loooove watching movies, listening t... o music, and going to museums. This is how I get new inspirations for new projects, and new ways of expressing myself. As passionate as I am about my own craft, I am even more passionate about helping other people bring their ideas to life. I find it very rewarding when I get to be part of peoples process when expressing themselves. My tutoring philosophy is letting my students decide what they want to learn, and guide them through experimentation, trial and error, to find their artistic voice. There is no right or wrong way of creating art, it is up to every person to decide what it is they want to achieve, and I'm there to make it a more concrete (and fun) path. What I love about animation specifically, is its ability to breathe life into anything. You get to come up with a whole new world, the way it looks, the characters that live in it, what crazy things happen in it.
