I am bilingual, Italian and American. I am born in the United States but grew up also in Italy and studied there. I know both languages perfectly, in fact, I have published books in both languages and... translated books from one language to the other. I have been helping people learn Italian since a child, by interpreting directly from one language to another. Then I started teaching professionally since the last 5 years. I develop a great bond connection with my students where I share cultural aspects of the language and well as music, literature, movies, etc. When some of my students visit Italy I tour them around the country where we can apply directly, in live, what they have learnt. For beginners I start by teaching them phonetics, so they get initially a good pronunciation and start developing a good listening comprehension. Hi I live both in the United States and Italy. I love playing chess, painting, drawing and writing. About tutoring I love enhancing the understanding of students. I have a strong passion for studying... and I love sharing this passion with people. For this reason I enjoy and find it easy to walk students through their understanding. My method is that of breaking down the concepts to their simplest form, then build up from there. Accordingly, I can easily adapt to the needs of the student. I strongly believe that helping students renders me a better teacher; so, for this reason I welcome lots of questions and critiques so that I may become clearer and more refined in my explanations. I am very careful at listening at the students needs. I put lots of work, but I also demand work and seriousness in return. I pay very close attention to small details, which allows me to understand better what I am studying. From this I can clarify the smallest doubts that students may arise.
