I've lived here most of my life.

I began taking piano lessons when I was seven years old.

I played all through school

and I entered multiple competitions, contests, Guild,

which is where you memorized 10 songs a year.

And, um, I've done a lot of performances.

I performed on the state

and national level at the FFA conventions

and, um, I'm really looking forward to getting

to know all my students on here.

I also taught K three

through K five at the Northridge Christian School here in

town and loved every bit of it.

So I have a huge passion, not just

for music, but for kids as well.

Um, getting started, we'll be learning a lot

of different techniques.

Um, finger placement, the um, the music alphabet,

where the notes are, all the simple basic stuff

to get started so that the kids get

comfortable with what they're doing.

Then they'll go into learning the keys,

the rhythms, et cetera.

We'll do lots of reviews and

whenever I feel like they're ready,

we will jump into some piano music, the songs we've got,

and tv, which is always a lot of fun.
