I am fluent in Spanish, in addition to having experience working with children and teaching language. I have studied Spanish in an academic setting for 8 years. In highschool, I received an A in AP Sp... anish in addition to teaching English as a second language to spanish speakers. I also lived abroad in Nicaragua with a host family, which greatly improved my understanding of the language, annunciation, and culture. During my stay in Nicaragua, I led activities in a summer camp of children ages 4-10. I also have taught children in the Bay Club Kids Summer Camp in Marin. From these experiences I learned how to actively engage with children in supporting their learning endeavors. In college at UC Santa Cruz, I have earned As in all of my Spanish classes. I have completed all of the language-learning Spanish classes and have continued expanding my knowledge of the subject with classes taught completely in Spanish such as Spanish Literature from the Iberian Peninsula and Introduction to Spanish Studies.
