From a young age I have always love to read books. Reading was paramount in my household. As an elementary student I was always the top reader in my class because reading was important, and my mom mad... e sure that I was always reading and learning. I am also a fifth-grade reading teacher and my students are doing really well. I have had success in data with students who were below reading grade level by two or more levels and now they are on grade level and approaching the next level. I love to have fun with reading and making sure that we are using all of our strategies to maximize reading and comprehension skills. I started out with the District of Columbia Public Schools, later the DC Department of Corrections and now Charels County Public Schools. I noticed that there was a calling, a purpose and a plan for my life. That plan was for me to help people, which is what I love to do. My hobbies and passions are traveling, cooking, DIY projects and spending time with my children.
